Cedar Waxwings in Heritage State Park, along Appleton Street (photos)

After seeing a single Cedar Waxwing in Heritage State Park in early January, the park was suddenly full of them during the first week of March.

At times, there were between 80 and 100 present. On Sunday, March 9, I even found a number of them hanging around a large factory building on Appleton Street, next to the police station.

    Magnificent! I haven’t seen a flock of cedar waxwings since the one at Pheasant Hill in Hamp. Awesome!
